About Lindsey Kaptur:

Do you know where JELLO cups are made?
Do you know where the eggs in your Egg McMuffin were made?
How about the Stanton Island ferries?  Do you know where they were built?

While the answers to these types of questions may not be the type of things a person would expect to learn when joining the hotel industry, they are the things that make the hotel industry successful.  One of the most valuable lessons that Lindsey has learned since joining Hospitality Marketers International, Inc. is that the true offerings of a market can never be determined upon first glance.  What may appear to be a very small town may actually be a large, national, economic asset.  Market research commonly focuses on terms like Occupancy, Average Daily Room Rate, and RevPAR, but it is the demand generators in the area that make all these numbers possible.  It is also these demand generators that make each market a new and unique story.

Since joining Hospitality Marketers International, Inc. Lindsey Kaptur (Hanis) has been involved with researching numerous markets in Wisconsin as well as a variety of markets in the Midwest area.  These hotel projects have included a 30-room, mid-priced hotel in a small village to a large extended stay property in the middle of a large metropolitan medical complex to a historic renovation of the last remaining Frank Lloyd Wright designed hotel.  The uniqueness of each project has provided Lindsey with a very wide overview of the many facets of the hospitality industry in a short period of time.  In addition to researching hotel markets Lindsey has also spent time analyzing market trends and conditions as well as formulating projections for a property’s future success.

Lindsey’s experience in the hotel industry began long before her first official day of employment.  Travel and hotels have always been one of her top interests.  These interests and travel experience have provided Lindsey with a glimpse of the type of projects that she now researches for developers and franchisees.

Lindsey joined Hospitality Marketers International in the fall of 2006 after working in the marketing department for a Milwaukee based employee benefits firm.  Lindsey gained her degree in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis from Carroll College located in Waukesha, Wisconsin where she met her husband as well as ran for the Carroll College Track and Field team.  Lindsey hasn’t stopped running and come fall she can be found coaching the Kettle Moraine Fury Field Hockey Team at a local high school.

Lindsey has also been granted membership to the International Society of Hospitality Consultants as an associate member.
