Geographic Site Evaluation and Evaluation Support
Selecting and
evaluating the right site is the first step toward developing a
successful hotel/resort. Finding the right site begins with evaluation
of the various geographic site options in the market. HMI will assist in
this preliminary geographic site selection and evaluation process. Site
selection involves the professional review of geographic areas thought
to be suitable for hotel/resort development. If a specific area for
development has not been identified, HMI can research a broader
geographic area to identify possible markets for hotel/resort
development. To see a list of our geographic areas previously
researched click here.
Our site evaluation
will provide an objective review of the qualities necessary to make a
proposed site possible for hotel/resort development. The relationship of
the site to possible lodging demand generators, existing competitive
lodging supply, and the availability of buildable land will be
researched. Assessment of accessibility and visibility of the subject
market will be analyzed. A general economic overview of the market will
also be researched. We will provide a consultant's opinion report with
recommendations as to the preliminary feasibility of one or several
sites. These sites can then be pursued with further specific and more
comprehensive market feasibility research to develop projections of
occupancy, average daily room rates, sales revenue, and other factors
affecting feasibility of the hotel or resort property.
